Greater interest now revolves around the country the tennis star will represent after her marriage to the cricketer later this month.
Shiv Sena, which opposes sporting and cultural ties with Pakistan, has expressed reservations over Mirza’s decision to play for India despite marrying a Pakistani national. “If Sania marries a Pakistani, she will have to adopt Pakistani nationality. In such a scenario, how can she play for India? She should go to Pakistan and live there peacefully,” Sena leader Sanjay Raut as reported in DNA India

If she wants to get married.....She should quit tennis and if Sanya is interested in her tennis career and want to play for India, She should plan to postpone her marriage.

I don't understand why Sania has to look for her partner in Pakistan? She is beautiful, talented and excellent tennis palyer. She can even get a better match in India itself. Then she can continue playing for India. But if she marries Mailk, then she can not play for India..and a true Indian would not like to play for another country.
sania should say bye bye to tennis, start living at home as housewife.

Whatever Sania has achieved in life_ fame, money n glamour is because she was born in India n got an opportunity to represent the country. Had she been born in Pakistan ,she would not have even attended school. She should be indebited to this country and behave like a true citizen. No need to marry a Pakistani. If she does, she shoud be debarred from visiting India again.
It is a shame that one of the best Indian sports person has to look for a match in the country that has become the breeding ground for terrorism where hundreds of camps are busy training terrorists to target India. If she loves India she must never let her personal interests override the National interest of her motherland. I would ask Sania to reconcile her decision and not bring disgrace to her motherland who has made her what she is today.

I think that, if she want to marry with Malik, she must say bye bye to teniss, but she can do better if she marries an indian guy....

It's not right on our part to comment whether she should marry a Pakistani or not. It's her life let her decide. But the concerning part is Sanya is India's human resource. It will be a loss for India if she plays for Pakistan after marriage. Either she should continue playing for India, which practically doesn't seem possible due to Pakistani opposition if she does so, or she should quit playing.This way she will be able to be loyal to India as well.

Sania is free 2 decide whom 2 marry, where 2 settle, where 2 play etc. These r all her personal matters. First of all this topic should not have been made a controvery & invited comments. If a girl gets married that doesn't mean that she ceases 2 b the daughter of her parents. Those who are saying that she should not Marry a Pakistani they are following age old feudal value that says love and marriage should be within one's own clan and creed. Why can't a man or women can not love and Mary the person she or he like? So, I support her marring a Pakistani or who ever she like. I wish she will continue to play Tennis that too for India. Sanya is no more usable for india as tennis sports player. If we see her last games she decline in her sports. so that the right time for her to Say Bye Bye to Tennis first then do what ever she wants to do. ..i like to give thanks to sohaib that ,if due to his marriage with sanya ..other youngsters will get opportunity in this game...after sanya leave tennis ...:)
sanya has been always interested in gating fame .I remember when she met PM and President after wining a prominent tournament .along with her Parent . She enjoyed all the fame and glory since she was a Indian and first Indian girl to do good in tennis . Other wise once reaching 50 in the world ranking is not the big deal . I do understand that love do not see boundaries , but I do not feel celebrates get in to true love,it is most of the time professional /political/ or carrier associated adjustment. The why do this adjustment with a player from Pakistan with whom we have fought three wars and from last 25-20 years proxy war. It is the country responsible for killing so many innocent our country men. Thus, even if it is a true love it is worth leaving for the country which gave her all the love , affection, fame and glory. Even she want to play for India , Pak will not allow her to play , she will get so much public pressure that to keep her marriage and safety of her self and husband she will have no other option then to play for Pakistan . Pakistan is not a country where people are broadminded and rational . I only hope she should come back cheated, as it has happened with so may celebrities who harried Pakistani nationals.

Sanya is a good player of tennis,but she is not the best, i think we all r over reacting to the situation, if she marry malik she shoud play for india or paskistan it will be her decision, she has to decide wether she wants love,fame and money from indians or ................. from pakistan we all know how much malik is respected in pakistan as being a former captain of pakistan.....pakistan is a country of conterversy......she will waste her tallent if she goes to pakistan......

Sanya does not deserve this attention that she is getting from the TV channels to boost their TRPs. It hardly matters which country she plays for or does not play at all. She was never a player of any international standard. She got more attention for her tight fitting attire on the court than her achievements there. Now that she failed to find a man in India from within and without her community, to marry proves her penchant for donning the limelight by off court antics than trying to find a true relationship that works. In the process she ditched her childhood companion. Saina Nehwal who broke into the top 5 in world badminton rankings deserves much more adulation than Sanya. The latter should at best be ignored
